Extreme Sports Stadium
2008-2017

In 2008, Cedar Point opened the Extreme Sports Stadium. Extreme Sports Stadium was located near the beach gate.

The Extreme Sports Stadium opened in 1980 as Oceania. Oceania housed Cedar Point's popular dolphin shows. Oceania's last year was 1998. In 1999 the theater was renamed Cedar Point Aquatic Stadium. Cedar Point Aquatic  Stadium featured Splash! a high energy dive show that closed in 2006. In 2008, the theater was re-purposed as Extreme Sports Stadium!

To get into the Extreme Sports Stadium, guest had to  meander thru these really cool ramps that bring them into the theater!

Extreme Sports Stadium was a huge Theater! It held approximately 1,600 people at a time!

Extreme Sports stadium had a really cool stage that was full of trampolines, ramps and cool things for the actors to use!

Extreme Sports Stadium was a great place to go to relax on a hot day. The show is great and families just love it!

On October 25, 2017, Cedar Point announced they were removing the Extreme Spots Stadium for future park expansion.

The Extreme Sports Stadium was torn down after Cedar Point closed for the 2017 season.

In 2018 the site of the Extreme Sports Stadium became home to the all new Lakeside Stage. The new stage housed a nighttime show with a dance area.
