Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling
RipCord opened at Cedar Point in 1996 in the Challenge Park section of the park. The ride is a giant swing ride that swings riders over the midway! In 2017, the ride was relocated to the Frontier Trail where it was re-themed as Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling.

On January 9, 2017, Cedar Point announced RipCord was relocated to the former Shoot the Rapids site and that the ride would be re themed and renamed to become Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling.
He would use RipCord as his way to fly.
Riders are hooked up to the flight cable and they are laid on their stomachaches.
Riders dangle at the top for about a minute or so. After ride operators make sure everything is ready and safe riders can pull the cord when they hear ''Your flight line is clear, 3, 2,1 fly!
After swinging around riders are cough and unloaded so they can get off the ride. They then exit the flight area and head to the gift shop.
