Zoom Flume opened in 1995 at Soak City Water Park.

Zoom Flume was a high speed thrilling family raft ride.

A New Era

In 2017, Soak City was re-themed, expanded and renamed to Cedar Point Shores Water Park. AS a result, Zoom Flume was renamed Storm Surge!

Storm Surge is a family raft ride that riders do thru the flume in a giant tube.

Storm Surge has a beautiful color scheme of a dark and light blue flue with white supports.

Storm Surge was built and manufactured by White Water West of Canada.

Storm Surge is a very popular ride. It often has long lines as a result of it being popular.

Ride Experience

The Storm Surge experience begins with riders climbing the natural hill side and climbing stairs to the top of the tower.

While riders are climbing the 76 foot tall tower, they get an amazing view of Cedar Point Shores Water Park, Cedar Point and Lake Erie. It is a very unique view that can only be seen at the water park.

It does take a few minutes to get to the top of the ride, but it is well worth it.

At the top riders are loaded into rafts inside a flume. Riders can ride in groups of up to 4 adults or 6 kids.

Storm Surge gives riders an experience they wont soon forget. The ride twist and turns its way thru the course of the ride.
